Do I need waterproofing in my bathroom?
Yes. Australian Standard requires waterproofing in all wet areas including bathroom floors, shower recesses and around baths. Waterproofing protects your home from water damage and is required for building compliance. We hold a Certificate III in Waterproofing and provide compliance certificates.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
A typical bathroom renovation takes 2 to 3 weeks. This includes demolition, waterproofing (with curing time), tiling and finishing. Larger bathrooms or complex renovations take longer. We provide timeframes in our quotes.
What is the difference between ceramic and porcelain tiles?
Porcelain tiles are denser and harder than ceramic tiles. They absorb less water and handle wear better. Porcelain suits high-traffic areas, outdoor spaces and wet areas. Ceramic tiles cost less and work well for walls and lower-traffic floors. Both types come in many styles and finishes.
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes. We provide a 7-year written workmanship warranty on tile installation and waterproofing. This covers installation defects and workmanship issues. Tile products are covered by manufacturer warranties.
Can you tile over existing tiles?
In some cases, yes. Tiling over existing tiles requires the old tiles to be firmly attached, clean and in good condition. This approach is not suitable for wet areas where waterproofing needs replacement. We assess each situation and advise on the best approach.
