These terms and conditions govern the provision of tiling, waterproofing and renovation services by Pro Tiling Victoria (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“you”, “your”, “the customer”).
By accepting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.
1. Services
We provide tiling, waterproofing, screeding, caulking, re-grouting, painting and renovation services as described in our quotes. The scope of work for each project is set out in the written quote we provide to you.
2. Quotes and Acceptance
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on the information you provide and our assessment at the time. If site conditions differ from what was reasonably expected, we may need to revise the quote.
A quote becomes a binding agreement when you accept it in writing (including email or SMS) or verbally and we confirm acceptance.
3. Price and Payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated.
Payment terms are:
- Deposit: A deposit of 10% to 30% (depending on project size) is required to secure your booking
- Progress payments: For larger projects, progress payments may be required as work is completed
- Final payment: The balance is due within 7 days of project completion
We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card or cash.
Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month on overdue amounts.
4. Scheduling and Access
We will schedule work at a mutually agreed time. We require clear access to the work area during the project.
You must:
- Provide safe access to the property and work area
- Remove or protect furniture and belongings from the work area
- Provide access to water and electricity as needed
- Inform us of any hazards or special requirements
5. Variations
If you request changes to the agreed scope of work, or if unforeseen conditions require additional work, we will provide a variation quote before proceeding.
Variations must be agreed in writing before the additional work commences.
6. Materials
Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for supplying tiles and fixtures. We supply adhesives, grout, waterproofing membranes and consumables.
We recommend ordering 10% extra tiles to allow for cuts, breakages and future repairs.
If we supply tiles or materials on your behalf, payment is required before ordering.
7. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:
- Services provided with due care and skill
- Services fit for a particular purpose (if you made that purpose known)
- Services completed within a reasonable time
If we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy such as having the service performed again, a refund, or compensation for any drop in value.
For products we supply, consumer guarantees apply. Products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match their description.
8. Warranty
We provide a 7-year workmanship warranty on tile installation and waterproofing. This warranty covers defects in our workmanship under normal use and conditions.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect or accidents
- Damage from structural movement or settling
- Normal wear and tear
- Defects in tiles or materials you supplied
- Work performed by others after our project is complete
Tiles and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will assist with warranty claims where possible.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to:
- Re-performing the services; or
- Refunding the price paid for the services
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
10. Cancellation
If you cancel after accepting a quote:
- Before work commences: You forfeit the deposit
- After work commences: You must pay for all work completed and materials ordered
We may cancel or suspend work if:
- Payment is not made as agreed
- You breach these terms
- Site conditions are unsafe
11. Defects and Complaints
Please inspect completed work promptly. Report any concerns to us within 7 days of completion.
We will investigate complaints and arrange rectification of any genuine defects in our workmanship at no charge.

12. Insurance
We hold public liability insurance. For projects over $16,000, domestic building insurance is required under Victorian law. We can arrange this or work with a registered builder who provides the required insurance.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
